What we collect

We collect the information you provide when using Tankful. This includes:

• Operator Account Info: Your name, email, and business details used to set up your Tankful account.
• Client Data: Names, contact details, and addresses entered by operators for quotes, jobs, and invoices.
• Job Records: Quotes, job schedules, and invoice records created within the platform.

Important: Tankful does not collect or store credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials directly.

How we use it

We use this data to provide the software services, facilitate communication between operators and clients, process transactions via third-party providers, and improve the Tankful platform.

Payments and card data

Tankful uses Stripe Connect to allow operators to accept payments. When a client pays:

• The operator connects their own Stripe account.
• Payments are processed via Stripe-hosted Checkout.
• Tankful never sees, stores, or routes card numbers.

Service providers

We rely on trusted third-party services to operate Tankful:

• Supabase: Hosts our Postgres database where your business data is stored.
• Stripe: Processes payments securely via Stripe Connect.
• Resend: Sends transactional emails (quotes, receipts) on behalf of operators.

Emails to clients and opting out

Operators may send quotes and invoices via email using our service. Clients receiving these emails can opt out of future communications from that specific operator through the link provided in the email. Tankful does not send marketing emails to clients.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with service providers necessary to run the software (Supabase, Stripe, Resend) or if required by law.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our servers.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Children

Tankful is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.

Limitation of Liability

Tankful is provided "as-is" during the beta period. Tankful is not a party to the job between the operator and the client. Operators are responsible for their own services, pricing, taxes, licensing, and client relationships. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tankful disclaims all liability for damages arising from the use of the software.
